Welcome to District 13…
where you can spend the day on an
immaculate golf course, ride your horse
amidst the saguaro-studded hills
or witness the “Sound of Freedom” as Air Force
fighter jets train over our Arizona Desert….
Arizona’s Legislative District 13 covers a wide geographic area of the state that includes both rural and urban counties and interests. It is an economically unique and varied environment that consists of ranchlands, urban communities, fertile farmlands and rugged mountainous terrain. The southern boundary of LD13 includes Yuma and spans north through the Southwest Valley of Phoenix, encompassing the cities of Litchfield Park, Goodyear, and Buckeye. Located at the northern border is the Old West town of Wickenburg.
The residents of the district represent a large cross-section of occupations and ethnicities. Many residents are employed at the districts’ three military bases, within the tourism industry, in the agricultural/ranching industry or with the nation’s largest nuclear facility, Palo Verde.
Whether you’re looking for a family adventure or a romantic getaway, you’ll find what you’ve always dreamed of in the warmth of the Arizona sun. We have long, dry days, cool clear evenings, mountain ranges and painted deserts — all images that make Arizona hard to resist. Each winter, Arizona attracts visitors from around the United States and around the world! For an average of 4 months each year, “snowbirds” enjoy LD13’s diverse activities that include golfing, hiking, cultural events, water sports, gambling, and sports.
